چکیده

We study the double parton interaction process in collisions between highly virtual qq̄ pairs in the BFKL regime. Explicit expressions for the double parton distributions are obtained both in the case of direct coupling of the BFKL pomerons to the qq̄ pair and in the case of triple pomeron interaction. Diffraction at Hera and Implications for Tevatron and Lhc

We describe new QCD fits to diffractive cross sections measured at HERA and we use the parton densities derived from these fits to predict the shape of the dijet mass fraction in double Pomeron exchange at the Tevatron. We discuss the existence of exclusive events in this dijet channel and some prospects are given for the LHC. One of the most important experimental results from the DESY ep coll...

Hard Diffraction and Central Diffraction in Hadron–hadron and Photon–hadron Collisions∗

Hadron production in single and central diffraction dissociation is studied in a model which includes soft hadron interaction as controlled by a supercritical pomeron parametrization and hard diffraction. Hard diffraction is described using leading-order QCD matrix elements together with the parton distributions for the proton, the less well known photon parton densities and a conjectured parto...

Diffractive parton distributions from H 1 data

We analyse the latest H1 large rapidity gap data to obtain diffractive parton distributions , using a procedure based on perturbative QCD, and compare them with distributions obtained from the simplified Regge factorisation type of analysis. The diffractive parton densities and structure functions are made publically available. The H1 Collaboration have recently released measurements of diffrac...

The idea of diffractive processes with a hard scale involved, to resolve the underlying parton dynamics, was presented at the first Blois conference in 1985 and experimentally verified a few years later. Today hard diffraction is an active research field with high-quality data and new theoretical models. The trend from Regge-based pomeron models to QCD-based parton level models has given insigh...

Diffractive Parton Density Functions *

We discuss the perturbative QCD description of diffractive deep-inelastic scattering , and extract diffractive parton distributions from recent HERA data. The asymptotic collinear factorisation theorem has important modifications in the sub-asymptotic HERA regime. In addition to the usual resolved Pomeron contribution, the direct interaction of the Pomeron must also be accounted for. The diffra...
